The Invitation

The Invitation by ROSIE Center
February Reading 2/21/21

An old popular game I often played in my younger years was hide and seek. Now the object of this game was one player closes his or her eyes for a brief period (often counting to 50) while the other player goes away and hides in a secret place. The seeker submissively, eagerly, entreatingly, and knowingly goes on a quest to find the hider. Once the seeker finds the hider, they often experience a moment together due to the connection.

The Word says, “you will seek Me and find Me when you search (as a vital necessity) for Me with all your heart” When I seek God, I will find Him when I find Him, I will experience Him, but I have to do it with a desire in my heart. I seek God as a vital necessity in my life. So, when I seek after God, I get an experience with God.

We hold an invitation to seek, to look, and to find. If my heart is not into something, I will not seek it or desire it. So, what is my heart desire?

My heart desires is an internal act, which, by influencing the “will,” causes me to move forward into action toward the thing I am going after. A reaching or longing expresses a desire. The very thing I desire internally intensifies and grows or burns until I connect with it to experience it. My desire equals everything I am dreaming about and secretly pursuing. It is frequently on my mind, it is what I imagine and visualize. My desires are not impossible hopes or impractical wishes, but they are deeply spiritual in nature.

Look at this definition, To Seek -> to find -> To experience to go through mental or physical states or experiences, conceived of as finding something.

In this passage, God informed His people that they would have to seek Him in a new way to experience Him.

Can intangible things be seen or touched? You can only experience them in the innermost parts, that is, your heart. It is necessary to have the proper heart response to experience God.” My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” (Ps 27:8) To experience the beauty of God, you absorb the very essence of God.

To seek takes time. It is a continuous act to be frequented often, not just once a week. It is more than an Amen. Need a hungry heart, so you won’t give up until it is full and satisfied. When you have had an experience with God, your heart never becomes satisfied you always want more.

We hunger not just for the omnipresence of God but the manifest presence of the clear outpour. God touches our lives when we hear His voice by His Spirit. The ultimate experience. You only experience God when You are in His presence, but you have to get there. How do you get there? Accept the invitation by engaging in prayer, worship, communion with God, and spending time in the Word.

When you have an experience with God, He will put things in order in your life. Seek the Lord but finding Him will manifest in His timing, that will be the best time. God is willing to hear us, to reveal Himself to us and workout the circumstance in our lives.” I will let Myself be found by you,’ declares the LORD, (Jer. 29:14 NASB)

God has always been available to be found and to reveal Himself to us see ISA 65:1 “I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me, I was found by those who did not seek me To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.'”

The same is true for today “Everything and everyone that the Father has given me will come to me, and I won’t turn any of them away.”(John 6:37 CEV)

We hold an invitation to seek God, but sadly many don’t accept it.
